The recent Independence day speech of outgoing president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III were badly criticized by netizens particularly via Facebook – because he insisted that he fulfilled his promise to his bosses – when the more than 16 million votes for President-elect Rodrigo Duterte were deemed as protest votes for his administration.
As published by PhilStar; “Aquino attributed his legacy to the continued practice of democracy and freedom won by Filipino heroes 118 years ago, as well as by his parents in the 1980s. Aquino’s father, martyred Sen. Benigno Aquino II, fought against the Marcos dictatorship, while his mother, late President Corazon Aquino, effectively toppled martial rule in succeeding to the presidency”.
When the truth is; his father Ninoy Aquino destroyed the country by staging media propaganda against the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos thus halting the golden era of the Philippines and the mother, the late President Corazon Aquino allowed the majority of the Filipino people to suffer through poverty as witnessed by outgoing Vice President Jejomar Binay – so that they would blame the Marcoses for their misfortunes during martial law. Pnoy’s continued escalation of the hidden wealth myth and human rights violation accusations by his father against the Marcoses plus his false press releases on the real economic situation of the Philippines will soon boomerang to him – the moment he steps down.
