Binay as Human Rights Lawyer During Martial Law

“I call on my fellow detainees and human rights victims during Martial Law to file their claims. It’s not the money but the recognition of the justness of our fight against tyranny and oppression,” said Binay, a human rights lawyer during the Marcos regime.

Behind Corazon Aquino

Binay during 1987 EDSA Revolution: When Cory came out and was seen by the people at EDSA, she sent a message to the country that she was ready to assume the presidency. Binay was behind her – and that’s when he became the substitute mayor of Makati.

Served Pnoy

Binay continued to serve the son of Cory, Benigno Simeon Aquino III or widely known as ex-President Pnoy. He only turned his back on him when he was nearing the end of his term – and no longer felt that they share the same values. He became Pnoy’s greatest critic when it comes to public service efforts of the government.

Forged an Alliance with Marcos

During the May 10, 2016 elections, they tried to launch the Binay-Marcos tandem but it failed due to some political concerns with their parties. However, it was still promoted until the end of the election and does not stop there. They are still in the same team under the Duterte regime by principle.

Together for Nation Building

The country needs all the help it can get with all the looming problems. Despite not in the position, the forces of their parties are evident in safeguarding or neutralizing the negativity in the Duterte regime. Duterte and Binay in the first place had only one intention from the start. To ready, Bongbong Marcos as the next President of the Philippines.
