Instead of submitting the protest last June 28 as reported by the media, Bongbong Marcos’ camp opted for it’s filing today, June 29, 2016 – on the deadline itself.
GMA reported: Lawyer Jose Amorado said the outgoing senator will be accompanied by his legal team and son, Sandro, when he files the protest at the Supreme Court around 11 a.m. Marcos will hold a press conference after the filing, the lawyer added. The deadline for the filing of protests for the presidential and vice presidential posts is also today, June 29. This might explain President-elect Rodrigo Duterte’s indifference towards Robredo as a close ally of the Marcoses. Not much maybe in words but the actions are just too obvious as both the President and Vice President will be inaugurated separately tomorrow, June 30, 2016
Many concerned Filipinos have expressed their regret for Robredo – if she could not have been a willing accomplice to the alleged wrongdoing of the Liberal Party then she might have saved her face – as she is predicted to be forced to step down one day.
