Bongbong Marcos: No Due Process after 30 Years on Father’s Corruption Cases

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Bongbong Marcos comments on news reports that his father is charged in a U.S. court. He expresses his disgust when they do not have the jurisdiction to bring such cases to trial. After 30 years, the anti-Marcos media continues to refer to the late Marcos as corrupt. This is despite the acquittal of all cases against him here and abroad. The enemies move on to accuse the wife, former First Lady Imelda Marcos after their failure to implicate the patriarch. Until now, some cases are still ongoing. The irony is, PCGG sequesters her precious possessions like jewelry, paintings, and overseas bank deposits even before the conclusion. The question is, who are the corrupt people? The Marcoses or the PCGG by the Aquinos?

Due Process of Law

A person is considered innocent until proven guilty. Therefore those people who believe that the Marcoses are corrupt are either misinformed or do not have knowledge with the legal predicaments. Any media that carries a story of Marcos corruption is no doubt a biased media. They are surely not for informing people about event updates – but to spread lies and brainwash people to destroy the Marcos namesake for future elections.

Ninoy Aquino’s Sins to Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo

Former President Benigno Aquino III keeps his predecessor, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo incarcerated for four years a military hospital for baseless charges. The United Nations Working Committee on Arbitrary Detention condemns this as violating the grandmother’s legal and human rights. Indeed, after three years, neither a witness nor a single document is presented in court to support the Aquino government’s allegations that Arroyo stole from the funds of the sweepstakes office. She is released from hospital detention by the new administration after four years in hospital arrest.

Senators are Bribed to Oust CJ Corona

Onot assaults the independent branch of government, the bastion of a republican democracy’s rule of law which is the Supreme Court. He launches an impeachment mob to remove Chief Justice, Renato Corona, from office. Why? In order to get the Court to agree to a billion pesos more in compensation for his clan’s Hacienda Luisita. The Tribunal under Corona earlier ruled that its land reform program during Cory’s Administration is fake. Bongbong Marcos defends the Supreme Court and voted to acquit Corona. He is one of only three senators aside from the late Joker Arroyo and Miriam Defensor-Santiago who refused to be bribed by Aquino’s PDAF scam.

Jinggoy Estrada and Bong Revilla

Senators Jinggoy Estrada and Bong Revilla are imprisoned by the Aquino administration for plunder on the alleged DAP anomalies involving Janet Lim-Napoles. The new administration argues that if Senator Juan Ponce Enrile is on bail in the same case. They should also have the right to pay to be free like Enrile.
