Agrarian Reform Secretary Rafael “Ka Paeng” Mariano did not agree with President Rodrigo Duterte’s agreeing to the Marcos burial that recently happened discretely. However, he continues his fight in a civil way which Bongbong Marcos always understand that, as long as anti-Marcos follow the law, it’s their right to show their opinions. It is not true therefore that all Duterte supporters consented to all his decisions which should be the case.

Ka Paeng Explains His Side
“Ka Paeng” Mariano opposes the sudden hero’s burial of late Ferdinand Marcos but he will not resign from his post in the President’s Cabinet as the head of the Department of Agrarian Reform. He was aware of these differences with President Rodrigo Duterte on this issue and others before accepting the post. He vowed to continue serving the country despite the Marcos burial disagreement.
Dar Chief’s Request to the President
Mariano is a founding member of militant farmers’ group Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP). He urges President Duterte to attend to other “equally important issues. He is for lasting peace including the release of political prisoners, completion of the Comprehensive Agreement on Social and Economic Reforms (CASER) and more but not just the Marcos burial.
Bongbong Marcos’ Humility
In his speech during the simple military funeral ceremony of his father, he repeated this simple request of the strongman to be there with fellow soldiers. He is very thankful that Nov 18 is the day that made them realize the simple wish of his father after 27 long years.
The real Marcos ways are not the ones printed in commercial media particularly the ones from America. They always respect differences of opinions. Now is the time to straighten out all the wrong information released just to destroy them. The late Marcos was really serving his country as a hero to the highest degree. Senator Juan Ponce Enrile and Fidel Ramos must be questioned about human rights abuses during Martial Law because they were hands-on to the ground than Marcos. Besides, they are still alive and Marcos is already dead!
