Overseas voters disappointed by the administration’s handling of “laglag bala” scheme at the airport and other overseas-related issues voted unanimously for the Rodrigo Duterte and Bongbong Marcos tandem.
Commission on Elections Commissioner Rowena Guanzon confirmed the breakdown of the votes showing both as winners as far as overseas voters are concerned for the Presidential and Vice Presidential race. Although not audited yet, the trend is just very consistent in those areas of OFWs.
James Jimenez spokesperson of the Comelec however clarified that for the Vice Presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos, this is not a guarantee for winning because the contested COCs at home shows very close fight between him and rival Leni Robredo from the Liberal Party.
