Senator Richard Gordon also had a bad experience during the martial law era but he recognizes the fact that the Marcoses are indeed back and people elect them into office. It would be a waste of time arguing about a popular decision when they still have other priorities in the senate.

Some Senators are Dismayed but 9:5 SC Ruling is Appalling
Some lawmakers express their disappointment and frustration over the high court’s decision to allow the burial of former President Ferdinand Marcos at the heroes’ cemetery. The Supreme Court ruling of 9-5 is a landmark and cannot be disputed in favor of the strongman’s destination at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
Shameful for Pangilinan
The decision is “shameful and deplorable” for Senator Kiko Pangilinan. “We kicked out a reviled dictator and now we are honoring him by burying him in our national heroes cemetery. He basically put the blame on the Supreme Court in honoring a plunderer and tyrant leader.
Vice President is Worried
V.P. Leni Robredo is sad and expresses her fear that she will be the next one who will be ousted by the Supreme Court in favor of Bongbong Marcos who found favor in President Rodrigo Duterte’s eyes.
Wrongful or not, Senator Gordon urges fellow senators to respect the mandate of the majority of Filipinos as evident in the SC voting system or else we can go nowhere.
