In the event of the upcoming recount for Bongbong Marcos’ electoral protest against VP Leni Robredo. The topic of history revisionism resurfaces. Earlier, Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales expresses alarm over Filipinos’ vulnerability to it. Morales said that recent accounts celebrating the late Marcos add insult to injury to the entire citizenry. However, Bongbong Marcos explains that his father was toppled and only victors write history. So, when he wins, the truth shall prevail.

[VIDEO]: Victors write the history. Bongbong Marcos’ father was toppled so to address this after he wins, it is very simple. Just tell the truth he said.
Evidence Don’t Lie
People who know the truth can only testify that the Marcos’ era was indeed a “golden age”. Disputes are ongoing between the pro and anti-Marcos groups but those can easily be resolved. The Martial Law History might be the “yellow’s” version but all facts are in place. One just has to check them out if interested to really know the past events.
The Aquinos are NOT Better
It only needs common sense to understand who is telling the truth. Since the two terms of the Aquino’s are not any better than the Marcos era, the popularity of that time can only surge. The fact that there’s no President after Marcos who achieved more than him in most areas is already an effective measure.
Infrastructure that Stands the Test of Time
Aside from the areas of education, development, public service, economy, cultural, and healthcare, the infrastructure projects of the former President Marcos stand the test of time. Most of them are still serving the people at this time. Few examples are the CCP Complex, The Heart Center and many more roads and transportation facilities like the MRT which most administrations fail to keep them maintained properly.
Tell the Truth
Bongbong Marcos urges historians to just tell the truth when he finally assumes the Vice Presidency. He is not in the position to revise anything. His jurisdiction is to inform the public of the reality. It would be unfair for the people to be misinformed, he added.
