Bongbong Marcos’ Speculations on markings found in election ballot images are consistent with coding practices in digital programming. Codes represent a command in the transmission of information. This is also a means of keeping the information secret. Dots and dashes in a digital program that can form a square are actually letters and numbers that signify a command. The intensity of the digital fraud found is hard to fabricate as indicated by Vice President Leni Robredo’s lawyer, Atty. Romulo Macalintal who is known for his unlogical perspectives. This drives Marcos loyalists to organize a protest watch rally on February 7 and 8 in front of the Supreme Court.

[VIDEO]: Bongbong Marcos realizes why the delivery of the Camarines Sur ballot soft copies are delayed. Most election sheets are coded in favor of Robredo while many of his votes are considered as undervotes.
Oval, Square, and Dots
Marcos explains the existence of the square spaces where the candidate of choice is made by shading. They are the oval ones in the actual ballot form. All these square markings add up to Robredo’s votes. Therefore, it can be the transmission signal for the software to sort those with squares accordingly. Whereas, the ones with dots on Marcos’ name automatically went to the undervotes category.
Macalintal’s Unlogical View
Macalintal said that discrepancies in the ballot images that Marcos presented as evidence of election fraud might have been “fabricated or manufactured.” This is to support his claim that he was cheated. Macalintal added that Marcos’ claim based on only five ballot images was “highly ridiculous if not outright frivolous.”
Laughable for Robredo’s Camp but not for IT Experts
Marcos’ allegation that the appearance of “mysterious squares” on the computer images of some ballots used in the May 2016 elections proved widespread fraud is a laughing matter for Macalintal. It is not surprising for him to react that way given that he is an ancient lawyer. His mind cannot cope with the fast-changing digital world. Marcos may not be an IT expert himself but he made sure that all the facts in his presentation get the nod of his election technology consultants.
Protest Watch Rally at the Supreme Court
Robredo’s Camp accepts Marcos’ challenge to withdraw all pending motions from the PET to give way to the recount set in February. This prompts Marcos loyalists to stage a protest watch rally on February 7, 2018, from 5:00 PM to the next day, February 8, 2018, in front of the Supreme Court. They also have some confirmations from some of the President’s group of supporters.
