Lesson from Binay to Koko: File court cases, do not bluff

court cases

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
As per record, former Vice President Jejomar “Jojo” Binay advises Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III to be man enough to audit all agencies under the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC). Better to file court cases with evidence from COA.

GMA News and Public Affairs
[VIDEO]: Pimentel followed Binay’s advice to file complaints or court cases through proper channels – and avoid bluffing in Public.

Koko’s Cool Response

Koko Pimentel in fairness, displayed his tactfulness when confronted on the spot by the media. He calmly responded that he already followed Binay’s suggestions and will continue from there.

No Findings of Corruption

Sure enough, the issue just died down. All cents are accounted for until the office of the Vice President was turned over to his successor, Leni Robredo. Koko should also know from the start that the housing budgets were under the discretion of then President Aquino. So any discrepancies found if ever, cannot be blamed to Binay.

Court Cases Never Filed

Since there were no discrepancies found in COA’s audit, naturally, no court cases had been filed against Binay. This is somewhat the same nature with the other allegations. The only difference was, the Makati Building II proceedings were highly broadcasted in a series of senate dramas.

Bottom Line is, Taxes were Wasted

The longest ever senate probe against Binay only wasted people’s money. The senators who are paid for the welfare of the people were the actors of the so-called “tele-novela” in the senate. This is again happening today – but the worst kind. First, Senator De Lima’s uncensored probe and the Extra Judicial Senate investigation against the President himself. When can people learn?
