Atty. Vic Rodriquez of the Marcos camp stresses the importance of securing the details pertaining to the locations of their first three selected areas for the recount. The counting of ballots in these places can determine the trend if there was really an element of fraud during the last elections that benefit Leni Robredo for the VP race.

[VIDEO]: Atty. Vic Rodriguez explains why the first three ballot boxes are crucial in Marcos’ electoral protest against Robredo.
Dismissal is Possible
Should the Marcos camp fails to prove that there are irregularities during the recount of the ballots from the three determined places initially, the electoral protest against Leni Robredo can be dismissed that early. Otherwise, the recount for the rest of the 22 provinces will follow until such time that the discrepancy of the votes tallied becomes convincing in favor of Marcos.
Fight for Comelec’s Temporary Custody of Ballots
Rodriguez emphasized that his team now fights against Comelec’s getting PET’s nod for temporary custody of ballots. They do not buy their excuse that the local protest involving a governor need them to do that.
How Soon is the Recount?
Both sides must submit their briefing five days before the preliminary conference on June 21. Then the issues and corresponding dates are set. The recounts must be one of the priorities that must be undertaken as prayed for in the electoral protest of Marcos.
Rodriguez refuses to disclose the details of the first three places that they are about to present. This is to avoid being sabotaged by the enemy. He mentions that the opposite party is watching their every move to block them in any way possible including cheating.
