It is very clear that President Rodrigo Duterte warned that there will be no due process for narco politicians. “In my mouth, there will be no due process,” he said when the media seek to clarify if the shoot-to-kill order is for those armed and dangerous only or to all narco-politicians? Duterte expressed this after visiting the police chief of Magsaysay town, Davao del Sur, Ricky Boy Remoroza, who is still in critical condition for two gunshot wounds in the chest and abdomen he sustained in from an alleged drug pusher while serving an arrest warrant.
Then again as he always do, he is saying something once again and meaning another as per his speech at the Ateneo de Davao University admitting that his war against illegal has alertedhuman rights advocates. He said; “You know I used to be or I am the favorite whipping boy of the human rights people. Let me explain to you, honestly, candid, truthful, I hate to kill a human being. I am not just up to it, actually. It pains me to see grief in anybody’s heart.”
But Duterte can only do what he knows on what to do with the country’s 3.7 addicts – justifying his acts by saying he has been warning people into illegal drug activities to stop because he would use extreme measures, knowing the gravity of the situation which more experienced international bodies detested.
