PNP Chief Director Gen. Ricardo Marquez said on Monday that some PNP officials might feel demoralized and that includes him judging from his own sentiments – though he should not be because he’s already retiring after 38 years of service and will be replaced by Chief Supt. Ronald Dela Rosa.
Confusion however is but natural when organizations are changing due to the leadership transition. Marquez might be referring to the reshuffling plan of Dela Rosa earlier involving police regional directors and national operating unit heads. CIDG’s Victor Deona lamented that he will be in limbo until he retires in December.
Marquez was hopeful however that Dela Rosa would be keen in considering the good ones and will continue to implement programs that had improved the PNP. Deputy Dir. Gen. Francisco Uyami will be the acting PNP chief before Dela Rosa assumes leadership at the end of the week.
