Yes, critics are right that the late strongman Ferdinand E. Marcos must not be buried like a thief in the night. He deserves the most flamboyant funeral that a beloved public figure can ever have. If it is the supporters’ want that must be followed, parades were already done nationwide in his honor. But they respect the Marcos family. Why can’t critics do the same?

[VIDEO]: ‘Like a thief in the night’: Surprise Marcos burial shocks critics, victims (A video that can anger the many Marcos supporters) – Activist groups and martial law victims were shocked at the surprise burial of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos at the heroes’ cemetery just 10 days after a high court ruling allowing the rites.
Motion for Reconsideration
The critics are given ample time but deliberately delayed the process. They are not the ones that can run this country. The Marcos supporters already waited too long and one more day of delay would already spark too much anger that can lead to civil war.
No Law that Prohibits the Burial as per SC
The funeral rites for Marcos took place over a week after the Supreme Court, voting 9-5, ruled in favor of a hero’s burial for the former president. The petitioners against a state interment for Marcos, mostly Martial Law victims, had filed manifestations before the Court that they would file a motion for reconsideration on the ruling.
SC spokesperson Theodore Te said the burial is not prohibited as the Court had already lifted the status quo ante order on it, as per Rappler.
Very simple Military Burial
Albayalde said Marcos was given a 21-gun salute. Several soldiers in green uniform were seen standing in a formation around noontime, says CNN.
Critics must refrain from using the word “People”
Majority of the Filipino people are for the late Marcos’ burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. If critics cannot handle that, they should not us the word “people” in telling the media want they want – because real Filipinos who are for unity, want him buried ASAP at the Heroes’ Cemetery! It finally happened today, Black Friday, November 18, 2016.
