Bongbong Marcos talks about the martial law only because those against him want this to be an issue. These antis would have done the country a greater service if they would only separate his performance as governor and congressman of Ilocos Norte and as a senator. They insist on bringing up the alleged martial law abuses even after more than 30 years. Especially when news about his electoral protest against Vice President Leni Robredo is leaning towards his advantage.

President Duterte Educates the People about Martial Law
Unlike the media’s take on former President Ferdinand E. Marcos, Duterte clarifies that he does not need the position at this time in my life. But he will declare martial law against illegal drugs if needed. He said that he will declare martial law to preserve the nation, just like Marcos, according to Enrile. Due to the threats against illegal drugs, Duterte is confident that he can proclaim martial law despite existing constitutional safeguards. (If congress approves it). This disclosure of the president strongly warns the anti-administration to act accordingly.
The Marcos Issue is Over after Bongbong Marcos won as Senator
Bongbong won a senate seat in the nationwide election. The Marcos name has indeed ceased to be a national issue. Aquino treated EDSA 1 as if it was mainly an issue between the Aquinos and the Marcoses.

Although he did not deny that there were abuses but the Philippine Constabulary chief, former President Fidel Ramos should know better than him on what really happened on the ground during those days.
Senator Enrile’s Testimony
Senator Juan Ponce Enrile confirms that the late Marcos only declared Martial Law to save the country from communism and civil war. After all, Martial Law is not bad.
