It is the intention of Leni Robredo ever since she agreed to be the Liberal Party’s Vice Presidential candidate to block a Marcos from returning to power. Therefore, Robredo is up to the fight even if this means that she is going to be buried in debts. The fight continues – and she is up to paying the next tranche of the required deposit as well.

Paid at Last from Personal Loans or Debts
Robredo has paid the P8 million cash deposit required of her by the Supreme Court (SC) that acts as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) for the retrieval of the ballots used in the last May 9 polls for her counter-protest against Marcos’ electoral protest.
Accompanied by Macalintal
Robredo, with her legal team, went to the Supreme Court on Tuesday morning to comply with the PET’s order before it can proceed with her counter-protest against archrival Bongbong Marcos. Her lawyer, Romulo Macalintal was with her and was present in every photo opportunities inside and outside the SC.
She was required to pay a total amount of P15.44 million in two tranches. The first tranche needs to be settled on or before April 14 which she failed to comply but was given a five days extension. The second not later than July 14 which amounts to P7.44 million.
Program at the Supreme Court
Some supporters of Robredo gathered around with her outside the Supreme Court for a short program. Robredo made the “thank you” speech to her supporters and vowed to really block Marcos despite her struggle. They also invited a priest who led the prayer that SC will be just enough to judge on the protest. Then, the leaders of her group take turns in criticizing the Marcos family – hoping that it would destroy Bongbong Marcos as well.
