Bongbong Marcos and cousin, Martin Romualdez visit some areas in the Bicol region after Typhoon Nina during the holidays. They also extend help yo Vice President Leni Robredo’s hometown, Naga City, in Camarines Sur. They distribute relief goods in San Fernando, Lupi in Camarines Sur, and Legaspi in Albay.

Some people speculates Marcos and Romualdez help as an introduction to 2022 elections. However, Vice President Robredo does not want to give any negative meaning to their aid because Bicol needs all kinds of assistance regardless of where it comes from.
Robredo is Thankful
“In times of calamity, we need to unite whatever party we may belong in,” she said. So former Senator Bongbong is very much welcome. We have many countrymen who need help and we need every bit of aid.
Robredo was in the United States for a vacation with her family when typhoon Nina hit the provinces in Southern Luzon, including Naga’ her hometown. This made the Vice President the target of much criticisms over social media. Nevertheless, one cannot just head off to the United States if not planned in advance due to Visa restrictions. People must consider that politicians also deserve a holiday with family.
Hitting the Government
On Robredo’s comment that government is slow this time, Presidential spokesman Ernesto Abella wished that if Robredo is only in the country, she might be able to appreciation the work of the disaster officials, social workers, and volunteers in Ground Zero even before Nina even made a landfall.
