Robredo welcomed the electoral protest recently filed by Bongbong Marcos, allowing her to respond in a proper forum, her spokesperson Georgina Hernandez said. “We will be able to answer to allegations leveled against us, and welcomed the “formal process” that Marcos initiated.”
Marcos filed the 1,000-page petition with the court—acting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal. He has urged the body to study affidavits and certificates of canvass that he provided which for him are clear and convincing evidence of what can be known as the “biggest electoral fraud” in Philippine history if he’s successful.
Marcos’s petition concluded that the automated elections was flawed and that there were “obvious” activities of cheating like vote buying, pre-shading and most of all intimidation and failure of elections, among others.
