Shoot to Kill is Duterte’s Order when the Police’s Life is Jeopardized

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
President Rodrigo Duterte made it clear that policemen should not hesitate to shoot suspects who fight back when they are being arrested. If they resist during arrest that puts government forces’life in jeopardy, then the culprits must be shot to their death; as ordered by the President.

This tough order was also echoed by the new Philippine National Police chief after his installation yesterday by giving drug lords protectors two days to surrender or face the consequences the forces’ merciless fight against illegal drugs as per the President’s order. “Surrender in 48 hours or die,” Director General Ronald “Bato” de la Rosa said in a speech during ceremonies for his assumption of office as the new PNP chief; as reported by Inquirer.

On the other hand Mr. President assured the good policemen of his support, stake his life and his presidency to protect them in the line of duty. He will double their salaries and provide them with appropriate artilleries to fight crime more effectively. Should he be impeached for his fight against illegal drugs, he promised to hurry up the process and leave the service hand in hand with his loyal policemen.
