I have no doubt that given the courageous and resilient spirit of the Maranaos, they will be able to put back the pieces and make their lives stronger and better than before. We will do it together, Bongbong Marcos said this during his recent visit to Marawi.  The war-torn place is still under military rule until the end of the year. Task Force Bangon Marawi is the government’s inter-agency task force for the recovery, reconstruction, and rehabilitation of Marawi City. Marcos takes part in the Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Recovery Program with the help of all member agencies.

Military Rule Needed until Rehabilitation is Completed

Task Force Bangon Marawi Chief Retired General Eduardo Del Rosario confirms that martial law is needed until rehabilitation efforts are completed in Marawi. The government assures that sufficient resources for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and relief assistance to IDPs continue even after the fighting.

Actions to Rebuild Marawi

The government continues to provide training and livelihood for IDPs to help them recover from the Marawi siege. A psychosocial intervention like art and play therapy is available. Health intervention such as water, sanitation, and hygiene services are also prioritized for the moral and psychosocial recuperation of the displaced Marawi residents.

Inspirational Talk to Soldiers

Bongbong Marcos is the most capable person to inspire the soldiers in protecting Marawi with their life as the son of the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos. Despite efforts to discredit him using martial law, the truth prevails that he is indeed successful in saving the country from communism and terrorist threats.

Infrastructure Plan

Former Tacloban Mayor Alfred Romualdez is with Marcos during the  Marawi City visit last December 4, 2017. Romualdez also addresses the crowd sharing his hands-on experience on the rise of Tacloban after the devastation of Typhoon Yolanda. Discussions with local officials include infrastructure projects. It is a Marcos trademark to give importance to education as the key to progress. They are seen inspecting a school model on top of the distribution of goods courtesy of the former Senator.
