Hontiveros Aims to Discredit Du30 on No Election, Bongbong Marcos on Wealth Issues

welcome By:

Elena Grace Flores

Senator Risa Hontiveros questions the “sudden talks” on a no election scenario in 2019. She stresses on Du30’s term extension with Du30’s Federalism goal. The proposal to enter into a compromise deal on the alleged ill-gotten Marcos wealth also did not escape her prying eyes. She said that the government tries to measure the public by “mind conditioning” that her political party is famous for. Meanwhile, Bongbong Marcos explains that the compromise deal by the late Ferdinand Marcos estate’s lawyer, Oliver Lozano got nothing to do with him. He doesn’t need immunity because he has no particular case on this issue.

[VIDEO]: Bongbong Marcos said that immunity is not necessary for him because he’s never accused of anything.

No Election Scenario, Wealth Issues

House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez floats the idea of a no election scenario.  Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III also said that it is possible to extend Du30’s term with the federal form of government if necessary. However, the administration’s spokesperson clarifies this by reminding the public that the President is looking forward to retiring very soon. This even worries his detractors more because the likely successor is Bongbong Marcos when he wins his electoral protest against VP Leni Robredo. Thus, the reason for the wealth issues to resurface.

Hontiveros vs. Social Media

Hontiveros further said the Du30 government tries to push its “twisted political projects” with the help of fake news. Hontiveros recalls the President’s “revolutionary government” threat. Then, dismiss his own idea days later. The LP members even made a media stunt to call on Facebook. They assume that it supports Du30’s campaigns. Not to realize that the people’s passion is the ultimate component of a news to become viral.

LP Street Protest

This quote from the bewildered Senator just proves how out of tune she is with current events: “If anything, this regime bows to strong public opinion and pressure. Let our voices be heard. Let us show our strength in the streets. The fear of public opinion by authoritarian leaders points to the potential of our voices as a force of good. We must not be intimidated and silenced,” Hontiveros said.

Hitting Two Birds in One Go but to no Avail

The Senator can only frustrate herself. Despite the success of the old LP black propaganda on cha-cha against former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, it’s not working. Then, the revival of the alleged hidden wealth versus the late President Ferdinand Marcos to hopefully discredit the son, but still, LP fake news-makers cannot nail down President Du30 and Bongbong Marcos. The irony is, they blame social media for their own wrongdoings. This clearly shows their ignorance of its functionality which is a big shame for politicians in their rank.

Why is the Bongbong Marcos – Du30 Governance Good for the Country?

News Agencies Dying Due to Credibility – Is it because of Anti-Bongbong Marcos Stunts?

welcome By:

Elena Grace Flores

A local publication picks up on the news that nine European press agencies call on internet giants to be to pay copyright for using news content for huge profits. It comes as the EU debates a directive to make Facebook, Google, Twitter and others pay for news articles they allegedly use or link to. In the country, many stay away from watching news from the mainstream media because of credibility. Many people believe that most of them are biased. This is obvious with Bongbong Marcos. The black media propaganda on his father resurfaces every time he confronts VP Leni Robredo as the election protest continues.

Facebook becomes the Biggest Media

“Facebook becomes the biggest media in the world,” they said. “Neither Facebook nor Google does not have journalists who cover such events. Just recently, press people question the accreditation privilege laid out by the government for social media practitioners. They thought that to have 5,000 followers is easy to reach via FB. The palace corrects this by saying that aside from the community requirement, they have to prove that they publish original news regularly.

9% Profit Drop

Catching up with family and friends for people to log onto Facebook is a priority for most users. News only comes second. Social Media profits reach $10 billion or 8.5 billion Pesos last year. The news agencies accuse online platforms of reaping vast profits “from other people’s work” by soaking up between 60 and 70% of advertising revenue. Google’s jumps by a fifth in a year. Ad revenue for news media fell 9% in France alone last year.  This trend is a disaster for the industry.

Social Media are the People’s Medium

The quality of journalism in the country is very questionable. Like for example, fake news on the Marcoses seems like a priority. Real updates on the Marcos siblings are often ignored. Social media practitioners fill in the gap made by mainstream journalists. Anyone who has internet access can post any event witnessed. However, the so-called online journalists gather all the facts with evidence and promote them via social media in a news article form.

Credibility Issue

In fact, some commercial media publications are quick enough to report on December 8 that Edilberto del Carmen uses the alias Angel Ferdinand Marcos to pretend as the son of the late Ferdinand Marcos while doing illegal things. On the other hand, there’s hardly any mention of Bongbong Marcos’ efforts during the  Marawi City visit last December 4, 2017. People who realize this kind of incompetence by the traditional press would rather get vital information from their handy gadget in real time. They have lost not only their credibility but also reliability. Besides, who made martial law look bad?

Why Do Commercial Media Report on Ferdinand Marcos’ Legacy Fakers, NOT on its Realities?

Bongbong Marcos: No One can Suppress Interactive Social Media

social media

welcome By:

Elena Grace Flores

Bongbong Marcos said that he and his family have been victims of “fake news.” This is contrary to their detractors’ accusations that they propagate their family’s woven myths. Social media allows common citizens to voice out. Marcos supports that saying that it is wrong to suppress the people’s voice through Facebook, Twitter, Google websites, and other online media.

Youtube Video by; Rappler

[VIDEO]: Former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr says his family has long suffered from fake news. He also believes it is readers’ responsibility to avoid blogs and posts they think are making false claims.

Power of Social Media

“There are lots of historical revisions occurring; we want to fix that. It’s not a version; it’s the truth,” Marcos explained. “Others want to put a spin on stories, make them into ‘fake news,” he added. The family maintains that the 21-year rule of the family’s patriarch, Ferdinand Marcos Sr., was the so-called “golden era.” Liberal Party influencers try to put clouds on that achievement. They question the economic data after the late Marcos’ rule and not during. The Yellows highlight alleged martial law abuses. However, golden-agers themselves cannot contain their lies anymore. That prompt them to squeal via social media. Such responses drive the anti-Marcos propaganda into thin air.

Contradicting Facts

Several international courts already acquit Former First Lady Imelda Marcos on the alleged ill-gotten wealth. Her husband was never on trial for such cases before. Philippine courts also ruled to pay so-called human rights victims during the Marcos regime. The funds are taken from the sequestered wealth of the Marcoses by the PCGG. Blames continue to pour into the Marcoses whenever such settlements are delayed. However, Bongbong Marcos said that it’s now between the government and the claimants.

Malicious Interpretations

LP media claim that to this day, a portion of the Philippines’s annual budget is being allocated to the foreign debt Marcos incurred during his leadership. In basic banking policy, a country cannot borrow from the World Bank if it has no sufficient gold reserves or collateral. The fact that the late President was able to borrow funds for the country’s infrastructures is a strong proof that he managed the financial aspect of the nation well. Perhaps, the Marcos enemies are in for a shocking enlightenment very soon about this wealth.

Faces of Fake News

Anti-administration stalwarts like VP Leni Robredo and Senator Antonio Trillanes IV grilled ASec Mocha Uson for using wrong images or captions in her blogs. She retaliates by reminding the VP on her UN speech in a video that maligns the country itself to the international community. The out of tune Senator was also a notable liar during the former VP’s Senate hearings on some corruption cases. His allegations just went quiet after the elections. They keep on calling bloggers trolls if they do not serve their interests. Little do they know that Facebook, Twitter, Google and other social media channels already did a clean-up drive on their platforms.

Votes for Bongbong Marcos Show that Liberal Party’s Black Media Propaganda is Defeated by Social Media

social media

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

The President of the Philippines openly divulged that there’s no more such thing as Marcos trauma. Bongbong Marcos could have won the 2016 Vice Presidential elections if he was not cheated. The millions of votes he garnered signify that Liberal Party’s successful black media propaganda against the Marcoses is already beaten by the people themselves via social media.

Youtube video from;
[VIDEO]: The millions of votes for defeated vice presidential candidate and former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. could be an indication that there’s no longer trauma among Filipinos during the martial law years, President Rodrigo Duterte said on Thursday.

Faded Memories

Memories of the alleged brutality of the late President Marcos’ martial law already faded. It’s only the Liberal Party mechanism now are trying to refresh such accusations. They refused to blame it on the direct person in authority at that time. Former President Fidel Ramos was fully responsible for the blames as the head of the Philippine Constabulary.

Back to the Limelight

The country’s next presidential election is still in 2022, but the Marcos name is back into the spotlight. Marcos’ son Bongbong Marcos who leads in the 2016 vice presidential race survey, is likely a presidential candidate. His electoral protest against the current Vice President Leni Robredo is set in motion in a preliminary conference on June 21, 2017.

Mainstream Media Loses Credibility

Gone are the days when whatever is in the new is believed to be the truth. Now, when someone refers an issue coming from a mainstream media channel, people just laugh it off. Politicians who use a media report as evidence to their claims in court are now deemed crazy or out of his or her mind. This is not the case in the past where people have nowhere to confirm or contest gossips.

Importance of Social Media

Social media changes it all. The false news circulated by the supporters of the Liberal Party are counter-acted by real people themselves. Trolls also existed to malign attackers or undesirable people in power. Many online publishers take the responsibility to report their own discoveries that dispute lies. Social media particularly Facebook has become the people’s media.

Sharon Cuneta Explains Wealth Inequality when Rich People Say they Have No Money

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Wealth inequality is the populace’s unequal distribution of assets. She explains that when rich people say they have no money, they can still spend for their needs and limited wants. Just don’t have enough for luxuries or extravagance. The clarification comes from her when concerned individuals start to check her out. This prompted her to post a clarification through her Facebook account on what she said earlier.

[VIDEO]: Sharon Cuneta, nilinaw na walang third party sa relasyon nila ni Sen. Kiko Pangilinan

What Cuneta Meant

Since many people are concerned that Sharon Cuneta does not have money anymore, she said; please understand that when wealthy people say they owe money and have no one to help them, all they mean is that they still have money to play their obligations. They can also afford to travel first class to the US for a break.  But just don’t have the money to buy their dream house in America for example. The Megastar shared this thought on her official Facebook page.

No One to Help Her

Cuneta mused that all she meant was she became smarter about what she buys now, and about the timing of things. She just wishes that her Dad is still around to help her. So, the speculations that her husband, Senator Kiko Pangilinan is falling short of her expectations do not fall in line here. She even dismisses the rumor of her husband having an affair with a fellow Liberal Party mate, Senator Riza Hontiveros.

Mid-Life Crises

Cuneta seems to be going through a normal phase in life called mid-life crises which should be between 35 to 58 years old. This is when depression bouts in when loved ones die or some changes happen in life – or no changes at all. She said that two people die on her in the last few weeks. Her favorite aunt is also sick. The filming of her Star Cinema movie is postponed to September. She also owes so much money on very good investments and not stupid ones. These might not be as bad as other people might experience but these changes can surely put a toll in a middle-aged person’s life.

The Poorest Billionaire is Still a Billionaire

I am probably the poorest, most cash-strapped billionaire you know, said Cuneta.  But in spite of that, she is still filthy rich. She is just going through a phase in her life same as other people. This only proves to show that a megastar is human after all. She just has to be on her own and focus her purpose in life which all people must do.
