I have no doubt that given the courageous and resilient spirit of the Maranaos, they will be able to put back the pieces and make their lives stronger and better than before. We will do it together, Bongbong Marcos said this during his recent visit to Marawi. The war-torn place is still under military rule until the end of the year. Task Force Bangon Marawi is the government’s inter-agency task force for the recovery, reconstruction, and rehabilitation of Marawi City. Marcos takes part in the Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Recovery Program with the help of all member agencies.

Military Rule Needed until Rehabilitation is Completed
Task Force Bangon Marawi Chief Retired General Eduardo Del Rosario confirms that martial law is needed until rehabilitation efforts are completed in Marawi. The government assures that sufficient resources for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and relief assistance to IDPs continue even after the fighting.
Actions to Rebuild Marawi
The government continues to provide training and livelihood for IDPs to help them recover from the Marawi siege. A psychosocial intervention like art and play therapy is available. Health intervention such as water, sanitation, and hygiene services are also prioritized for the moral and psychosocial recuperation of the displaced Marawi residents.
Inspirational Talk to Soldiers
Bongbong Marcos is the most capable person to inspire the soldiers in protecting Marawi with their life as the son of the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos. Despite efforts to discredit him using martial law, the truth prevails that he is indeed successful in saving the country from communism and terrorist threats.
Former Tacloban Mayor Alfred Romualdez is with Marcos during the Marawi City visit last December 4, 2017. Romualdez also addresses the crowd sharing his hands-on experience on the rise of Tacloban after the devastation of Typhoon Yolanda. Discussions with local officials include infrastructure projects. It is a Marcos trademark to give importance to education as the key to progress. They are seen inspecting a school model on top of the distribution of goods courtesy of the former Senator.
Philippine President Du30 never said that the family of the late Ferdinand Marcos indicates a willingness to return the alleged hidden wealth. He mentions that a spokesman or a trustee of Marcos offers a still-unspecified amount of money. This includes “a few gold bars” to help ease the government’s upcoming budget deficit. Du30 considers designating three people. A former Supreme Court chief justice is one of them. They can negotiate with the trustee over the assets.

Not Stolen but Secured
Du30 said that Marcos’ spokesman speaks to him about the intention. He refuses to identify him. It is a general knowledge that the Marcos estate is a separate entity from the family’s legitimate possessions. The trustee clarifies that the assets were not stolen. This is contrary to the accusations of Marcoses’ political opponents. They are for the welfare of the people.
Accepted Explanation of the Trustee
“I will accept the explanation, whether or not it is true,” the President said in a speech. They are “ready to open and bring back the assets including a few gold bars.” “It’s not that big, it’s not Fort Knox, it’s just a few but they said, they’ll return.” This is understandable because the big chunk of the assets was deposited in the World Bank. Various conditions must be met to allow the government to possess them.
Hidden Wealth is Secured
His widow, Rep. Imelda Marcos does is not aware of this development. The family does not have access to the secured wealth for the people. She, however, is the guardian of the gold shipping documents to various international banks designated by the World Bank. It is logical to say that once the family is in harmony with the government, all components including the trustee, World Bank, IMF and Central Bank can join together to resolve this issue. They can then decide on how to go about with this enormous wealth.
Intended Use of Funds
The secured funds were set aside for a long time. It waits for the right time to come. The trustee has no sole discretion to divulge all assets as per Marcos’ last will. He can only show proofs that they exist for a keepsake. The puzzle seems to point out to the now Representative Imelda Marcos. She remains positive despite her ripe age. This has something to do with her dream of Bongbong Marcos becoming President some day.
Ex-PCGG chair Andres Bautista himself said that there’s no legal basis for the $10B estimate of the alleged hidden wealth of the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos. Even former President “Erap” Estrada wants PCGG abolished. He showed his fascination to the son, Bongbong Marcos by calling him the next Vice President of the Philippines.
[VIDEO]: In running after Marcos’ wealth, PCGG merely estimated the extent of Marcos assets and those who were associated with them known as cronies. Without proving that these assets were from public funds, the SC assumed that all assets above Ferdinand’s and Imelda’s salary during Marcos presidency are all ill-gotten,
The PCGG was created through Executive Order No. 1, the first official act of former president Corazon Aquino after the 1986 People Power Revolution. It was tasked to recover the ill-gotten wealth of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, his family, and his cronies. t only has one objective and is running more than 30 years now.
No Legal Basis
The salaries of the late Ferdinand E. Marcos and his first lady, Imelda Marcos during that time were the only references in the estimate of the so-called hidden wealth. However, Mrs. Marcos disputes them by saying that her husband already has some gold collections before he became president. With the increasing currency exchange rates, it is just reasonable that the value of their possessions also increases.
The President said on his SONA House Bill 5707 is under scrutiny. This is the proposed Rightsizing the National Government Act. That would grant the president the power to abolish useless offices under the executive branch. Those with overlapping functions or no longer necessary. PCGG is one of them.
10 Billion Estimate Unreal
In 1998 then President Joseph Ejercito Estrada calls on Congress to pass a law to abolish the PCGG. The estimate of $10 billion ill-gotten wealth to collect might be so attractive but is it real? Imelda Marcos already disputes most of the possessions taken from her. She said that they are her personal belongings. So, if the big amount is just floating in the minds of the Marcos detractors, they better spit it out.
Solicitor General Jose Calida assures the Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno that the president is not the late Ferdinand E. Marcos. It is evident, however, that there’s actual rebellion in both their times as president of the Philippines. Even if Du30 has the tendency to follow the footsteps of the late Marcos, it’s not just possible.

[VIDEO]: SolGen Calida, hinamon ang petitioners na magtungo sa Marawi para maranasan ang reblyon
Calida tells Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno that it’s a political question to determine that the President ‘s martial law has the facts and it is necessary. Sereno rejects this because for her, to brand it as such draws parallelisms to the late Marcos’ martial law.
Calida points out to a Supreme Court ruling that says the validity of the suspension of the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus is determined not by its correctness, but by its arbitrariness. If the president deems it necessary, that is enough reason.
Go to Marawi
The SolGen also urges anti-martial law people like Congressman Edcel Lagman to go to Marawi. They can see for themselves the actual rebellion happening. When they are there, they might want to investigate the culture of the citizens of Mindanao. This is to enlighten them on how the outlaws are connected with the common people. Perhaps they can realize why martial law is needed in the whole archipelago.
Doing the Right thing is Marcos-like
It is still a big puzzle why Liberal Party politicians are afraid that the President does the right thing. They are always quoted saying that Du30 is Marcos-like. Most of them just capitalize on the military rule abuses which the late president was not guilty of. They are not aware at all that most Filipinos are hungry for the return of a Marcos. In the person of the son and namesake, Bongbong Marcos.
So, what if PDu30 is like Marcos? At least, both leaders are into saving the nation. The president insinuates this when he had enough of criticisms from anti-Martial Law political parties. It’s definitely the right time for the whole world to know that the late Ferdinand E. Marcos’ strategies for the country during his regime were the right approaches to lead the country to progress.

Anti-Martial Law Media
A notable Liberal Party media even compiles all documents relating to President Du30’s martial law declaration in Mindanao. This page is updated every time the government releases a new document. Martial law was declared in Mindanao on May 23 from Moscow, Russia after the President’s briefing on the clashes between terrorists and government troops in Marawi City. Arrest Order No. 2, Arrest Order No. 1, General Order No. 1, President Duterte’s report to Congress and Proclamation No. 216 are in their dedicated page.
Liberal Party’s Anti-Marcos Stint
Senators Risa Hontiveros, Antonio Trillanes IV, Leni Robredo and the likes are doing everything they can to use the Martial Law abuses committed by the Philippine Constabulary under former President Fidel V. Ramos’ leadership. They blame all of those to the dead Marcos in hope to destroy the political career of the Marcos siblings, particularly Bongbong Marcos. Du30 slammed them all saying that they are not concerned with the country’s plight but their own advantage.
Attacks on Imee Marcos
The Congress is currently in conflict with the CA regarding the disputable detention of six Ilocos Norte officials who are allegedly the signatories of the digital document shown by Representative Rodolfo Fariñas. It is a basic practice in government agencies to show the original copy when submitting a photocopy of a particular document. Why should these witnesses be held in contempt for asking for the original copy? Fariñas can fake it easily given his grudges with the Marcoses since 2015.
Bongbong Marcos as Main Target
The President is smart enough to know that Bongbong Marcos is the real reason why the past about Martial Law is often resurrected. This is the enemies’ way of blocking his future presidency that the leader is supportive of. However, today’s Internet technology does not allow media propaganda from the yellow group to poison the minds of Filipinos. Anything that an LP member says against Martial Law or Marcos would certainly boomerang to them a hundred times.
