President Du30 is just in time to continue the late Ferdinand Marcos’ forwarding foreign policies that open a new avenue to the unknown in the free world. He befriends China just as when the World Bank economists applaud what they see as China’s miracle. It has lifted out of extreme poverty 800 million of its citizens from 1988 to 2013. The very pro-American Aquino regime’s filing of a case against China over its claims in the South China Sea made the Chinese see us as the US proxy in a dispute. Despite this legal battle with China, Du30 managed to warm up to this Asian superpower. Now, Japan that is a notable US ally follows suit.
[VIDEO]: Former Senator Francisco Tatad, information minister under the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, recalls the start of diplomacy between the Philippines and China during the Marcos regime. Diplomatic ties between the two countries began on June 9, 1975, exactly 41 years ago.
South China Sea Dispute
China puts the arbitration decision behind the continuing business cooperations. China pledges during the President’s state visit $9 billion in low-interest or soft loans for our infrastructure projects. The total Chinese economic assistance promised by Chinese President Xi Jinping to Duterte is estimated at $24 billion. Bongbong Marcos was with the President in China during the visit.
Japan Follows Suit
Now, the other economic superpower in Asia, Japan, which also has serious territorial disputes with China, can’t help it but woo the Philippines. It rushes to extend to the country a similar magnitude of soft loans.
The President’s Diplomacy
The longtime city mayor whom detractors describe as somebody who wouldn’t understand international geopolitics proves to be adept in diplomacy. The essence is for the country to take advantage of such deals at the maximum level.
Beneficial Ties with Japan
During a summit in Tokyo with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe reaffirms Tokyo’s commitment to providing economic cooperation. It is worth ¥1 trillion over the next five years. The move seems like an economic assistance race against Beijing to strengthen the relationship further. Abe tries hard to win Du30 over in dealing with territorial disputes in the South China Sea. However, the Philippines remains a key diplomatic player.
Ilocos Norte Representative Imelda Marcos visits the tomb of her late husband Ferdinand Marcos Sr. This is the first Undas for them at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City. All Saints’ Day to be exact. Congresswoman Marcos was with by their daughter, Irene Marcos-Araneta, and son, former Senator Bongbong Marcos. There were anti-Marcos rallies before. However, according to the President, it is lawful for him to be laid to rest there. There’s also no proof that he’s a dictator.
[VIDEO]: In this segment, he tells that we can not call Marcos a dictator since there is no legal basis. Even conviction of moral turpitude is not present.
He Stepped Down to Save His People
Marcos, born on September 11, 1917. He was president from 1966 to 1969. The late President won the reelection for a second term from 1969 to 1972. Marcos saves the country under Martial Law and steps down in 1986 despite his victory. This is to avoid bloodshed during the EDSA revolt. He passed away on September 29, 1989. His remains at the museum in Ilocos Norte is a tourist attraction before it was moved to the Libingan ng mga Bayani in 2016. The transfer got the nod of President Du30 and the Supreme Court.
Dictator or Nor: True History is Yet to be Written
As a lawyer, President Du3- explains that calling the Former President a dictator or a thief has no legal basis. So far, no such accusations can stand in court yet after more than 30 years. History also is yet to be written on the real score. He is only a dictator through media propaganda and for the outlaws. Not through the hearts and minds of the majority of Filipinos.
Political Will NOT Dictatorship
President Rodrigo Duterte may sound firm in implementing the laws of the land. But one thing is certain. He’s not a dictator. Just like the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos. Detractors call him dictator when the real authoritarian rulers are the pro-communists. In a democratic country, the rule of law must be implemented to maintain order. The Philippines now has an effective leader with political will. But critics mislead the public to bring him down.
The Philippine Postal Corporation or PhlPost issues a commemorative stamp to coincide with the birth centenary of the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. They are available for sale at P12 per piece. Victorino Z. Serevo designs it with Marcos’ portrait and signature. Only 50,000 stamps were printed so far. They are available in selected PhlPost branches until September 10, 2018.
Bongbong claims in a media forum that the UPLB event on Marcos wealth is a “political action.” Its mastermind is someone who has a “political agenda.” “Someone spent a lot of money on it. There are planners and meetings to organize that,” Marcos added. “Who malign the Marcoses? Who in the past, I don’t know how many years? They have done nothing but destroy the Marcoses” When he refuses to name names, a reporter asks if that may have something to do with the Aquinos. Marcos replied that the family might have a hand in the event.
[VIDEO]: Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Thursday alleged that the Aquinos may have a hand with the recent event at University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). Thousands are made to believe that they will be given cash share from the gold bars of the Marcoses’ wealth.
A Classic Fake News
Marcos warns the people earlier of “unscrupulous individuals.” They use the Marcos family for personal interests. An investigation is ongoing on who is behind it. The scheme attracts thousands of subscribers across the nation. The gathering at UPLB is organized by the so-called One Social Family Credit Cooperative. He added that this is an example of a classic fake news. That is a clear political move.
Martial Law Abuses and Ill-Gotten Wealth
Marcos said; We’re used to fake news. My family suffers from them for 30 years. The former Senator is the only son and namesake of the late Ferdinand Marcos. The great leader was accused of Martial Law abuses and ill-gotten wealth. He was never tried in a proper court. His widow, Ilocos Norte 2nd District Representative Imelda Marcos, and their children maintain their innocence.
Reaction from the Aquino Camp
Lawyer Abigail Valte, spokesperson of former President Benigno Aquino II reacted: “Apologies to Bongbong Marcos that we cannot jive into his fantasy to entertain his accusations.” Valte said that if Bongbong really wants to protect his father’s “legacy,” he should condemn those that fooled the people. ” Which he did if she is cautious enough to look behind her shoulders.
It cannot be denied that the battle between the pro and anti-administration stalwarts is on a red light. All these coincide with the VP recount. That is about to happen in November. The Aquinos had their time for two long terms in the presidency. Their blocking Bongbong Marcos who has the President’s support cause all the chaos. Now that their terms are over, there’s no way that this administration would give in to their manipulation. They can use the media all they want but people can only retaliate through social media. Time to fight back, Filipinos!
Just like the plight of the late President Ferdinand Marcos, President Du30 and preferred heir to the presidency Bongbong Marcos are the targets of the continues media propaganda here and overseas using the alleged Martial Law human rights violations. In terms of corruption, one can simply ask the accuser, who is not corrupt with the kind of government system the Philippines has? Some big investors might attest that to be able to get a contract from the government, they must give a percentage under the table. Is this not the case in most Asian countries as part of the business culture? What they failed to check is how the “donation” is processed or used. Some call it the Robin Hood strategy.

Transparency in a Corrupt System
Is it hard for Westerners or to some biased Filipinos to analyze why the negotiators of leaders like the late Marcos or even the former Vice President Jejomar Binay needs a foundation to take care of their people? There are cases that their representative negotiates a certain percentage that would go to their supported projects. Why can’t they be transparent? Once a business or property tax is determined, it goes to the government coffers. From the BIR department alone, some anomalies can already be undertaken. Let alone in the local distribution channels that pass the governors, mayors, and barangay captains. When the funds reach the people, they are not sufficient anymore to fund quality projects. This is merely a strategy for the people.
Ultimate Proofs amidst Martial Law Criticisms
Just look at the situations of these leaders’ constituents compared to others who are just noisy of accusing their political colleagues of corruption. No president can ever beat what the late President Marcos provided for the people during his time that is still useful presently. This is in terms of infrastructure and government services. Look at also the Binays in Makati. Their constituents are the so-called privileged Filipinos. Ilocos Norte under Bongbong Marcos and sister Imee Marcos is very progressive. They have advanced technology, good harvests, and flourishing tourism programs.
Brainwashed by Media Propaganda
People who are against the Marcoses are mostly the relatives of unlawful people during the Martial Law era under the late Ferdinand Marcos. They are the same people who are attacking the current President. The law is simple. If you are a law-abiding citizen, you live well. If you are an unruly activist or a criminal, you have to face punishments or unfavorable circumstances. However, media propaganda is a major influencer but once people seek for the truth, they can easily find the logic of things in this regard.
The Best President Ever
Biyaya ng Dagat or the so-called Blue Revolution is a program under the Marcos administration. The country’s fishery resources are improved. Fishermen get loans to improve their fishing capabilities. Masagana 99 meanwhile, is the agricultural counterpart of the Biyaya ng Dagat. It was popularly known as the Green Revolution. It was a program that promotes the planting of Green Revolution varieties of rice developed by the International Rice Research Institute. The program enables the Philippines to become self-sufficient in rice and even became a rice exporting country from 1977 to 1978, said the President.
Bongbong Marcos warns the public against scams that involved alleged gold money being given away. “It’s a scam pure and simple. I have repeatedly warned the public against unscrupulous individuals who have been using our family to advance their personal interests,” Marcos said in a statement.
YouTube Video by; Elena Grace Flores [VIDEO]: The alleged Marcos wealth distribution was listed on the Bulletin board at the UPLB. This triggers people to ask why the university allows such assembly. Bongbong Marcos calls it a scam.
Marcos’ denial follows reports that thousands of people flocked the open grounds of University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) in Laguna. This was after they were allegedly promised to be given gold bars from the Marcoses’ wealth. The former Senator denied their involvement in the assembly.
UCPB Admin Approved the False Marcos Wealth Event
UPLB Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs (OVCCA) said that the administration approved the letter of Jeffrey Fortuna. He is from the National Inspectorate of One Social Family Credit Cooperative. He requested to hold a general assembly meeting at the field inside the campus. “Chancellor approved in the past many sectoral groups. In the past such as the Lumads, peasants, boy scouts, sports events, plus others from communities to use UPLB grounds as community sharing,” Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs Jamias said.
Advisory for the Expected Crowd
The OVCCA also released an advisory for motorists as four events held simultaneously at UPLB led to heavy traffic.
Tolerated by UP, Supported by Mainstream Media
The notably anti-government school and anti-Marcos media seem to have a common goal in staging a public scam that can destroy the reputation of Bongbong Marcos, the preferred heir to the Presidency. The connivance can’t get any more obvious than this.
