The president is annoyed to the Liberal Party that pushes Leni Robredo to assume the presidency due to his alleged deteriorating health. It is not a secret he prefers Bongbong Marcos as successor. He then added to leave the succession through prayers. If he dies earlier, Robredo wins. If not, then Bongbong Marcos has the chance.

Pathetic de Lima
The President is annoyed at unsympathetic speculations about his disappearance from the public’s eyes for few days recently. Hee could not stop himself to take a dig at a Liberal Party fighter like Senator Leila de Lima who’s in captivity due to his tremendous annoyance.
Du30 may not be incapacitated, but, as he says, he is confined to bed. Still, his reappearance in apparently fair capacity doesn’t make the issue irrelevant. The issue has been relevant since he admitted he was sick and under serious treatment – with, among other drugs, fentanyl, a potent opioid; he even intimated doubts about living through his term; said one LP media.
As Du30 refuses to reveal his precise state of health in a public medical report, he is compared to the late Ferdinand Marcos. The deceased strongman concealed his illness under martial law. He idolizes both Marcos and his martial law because of the good they have done to the country. This is why he prefers the namesake in the direct line of succession.
It may be constitutional to address the concern of the people about the real status of the president’s health. However, it is human to understand that even Superman needs rest. Let alone a 72-year-old man who has gone through a lot of stress lately. It is now very obvious that the yellow faction twists the purpose of laws. They are meant to serve the people and not go against them especially when that person is the leader of the country. That is what democracy is all about. Give him the benefit of the doubt.
Senate President Aquilino Pimentel or KokoPimentel slams the European Parliament’s call for the immediate release of Senator Leila de Lima. This sounds like an order and not as a mere sentiment. De Lima is in prison for her alleged involvement in the drug trade in the national penitentiary during her time as justice secretary.

Crossing the Line
The EU Parliament has clearly crossed the line, Pimentel said. He explains that Parliaments are free to air their sentiments on many issues – but they should not interfere in internal affairs. Demanding the reversal of certain legal rulings taken by the court of sovereign nations is trying to show off that the country is under their command which is not the case.
Slamming the EU
He pleads; Please mind your own business and don’t ever tell the Philippine Senate on who should chair any of its committees.” Aside from De Lima’s previous ouster as Senate justice committee chair, the European Parliament which is the EU’s lawmaking body also condemns “the rising number of extrajudicial killings” in the drug war without the right data.
Right after the Senate president told European lawmakers to step back, Senate majority leader Vicente Sotto III supports Pimentel’s plea and reminds the EU that it has no jurisdiction meddling in the country’s affairs. Sotto reiterates that the Philippines is a democratic nation with fully functioning laws and government.
Next in Line to the VP Succession
Pimentel as per the Philippine constitution is second in line to Vice President Leni Robredo. Her possible impeachment complaint about the UN video she sent making allegations against the Du30 administration is to be filed in May. This is on the grounds of betrayal of public trust as the second highest official of the land announcing unfounded claims critical of the President’s campaigns.
The self-confessed former Davao Death Squad member Edgar Matobato is filing a case against the President before the International Criminal Court (ICC) by March, according to his lawyer, Jude Sabio. The case has to be filed in the Netherlands for the alleged crimes against humanity over extrajudicial killings blamed to the President. When it comes to international courts, Senator Leila De Lima who is now in prison on drug-related charges easily comes to mind. This is her forte.

Systematic and Widespread Crime Against Humanity?
Over 7,000 deaths are linked to the drug war. Legitimate police operations and or unexplained killings are included in this count, based on the Philippine National Police data. Sabio said that he will file a case regarding crimes against humanity connected to extrajudicial killings. Crimes against humanity are serious violations committed as part of a large-scale attack against the civilian population.
Sabio said that the said case is already long overdue because Amnesty International’s report is already released as well as the one from Human Crime Watch. Davao policeman Arturo Lascañas also joins in who previously lied under oath that DDS is nonexistent then said the opposite on the 2nd testimony.
The lawyer knows very well that they cannot impeach PDu30 over past crimes before he becomes president. This is why the connivance with the human rights groups is concentrated on the alleged extra-judicial killings that resulted from the ongoing war against drugs by the administration. The trails of the process just have De Lima’s influence in them. The same strategy used by the Liberal Party against the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos.
PDu30 Remains Popular
Despite the character assassination that portrays the president as psychopath, murderer, and dictator, his supporters are still intact. They are too tired of the yellow regime’s mismanagement and want a genuine change. Since the late Ninoy Aquino’s clan failed the Filipinos in their two terms in office, perhaps, it’s about time to pass the torch to his arch-rival’s family through the future presidency of Bongbong Marcos with the support of PDu30?
Senator Leila De Lima once said that Malacañang is in a “panic mode” that it call some senators after the majority voted to proceed with the Senate probe on the President’s alleged links to the so-called Davao Death Squad or DDS. That happens at the beginning of the week. Before the weekends, De Lima becomes the allegedly first political prisoner under the present administration, said Jose Manuel “Chel” Diokno. He is a human rights lawyer who chairs the Free Legal Assistance Group or FLAG. DOJ Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II denies this. He confirms that there’s probable cause for the illegal drugs crime committed by De Lima that involves drug lords at the Bilibid prison while she was DOJ Secretary.

[VIDEO]: The Senate voted on Tuesday to give retired Senior Police Officer 3 Arturo Lascañas, the leader of the so-called Davao Death Squad (DDS), another chance to appear at the investigating body probing the extrajudicial killings.
De Lima expresses her belief that there are efforts to stop the probe on confessed DDS leader retired SPO3 Arturo Lascañas’ allegations that the President paid the group to kill criminals when he was mayor of Davao City. The detained senator said that they are in a panic mode. She added that they are shocked that there the senators, who they expected to vote against the hearing on Lascañas, abstained instead.
Leila De Lima is the First Political Detainee of the President?
Diokno speaks to reporters shortly after a judge of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court issues the arrest warrant on Senator Leila De Lima for allegedly orchestrating the drug trade at the New Bilibid Prison when she was in Aguirre’s position. Upon hearing that De Lima describe herself as the first political detainee of the administration, Chel Diokno congratulated her, as her case would emphasize how the current dispensation had been disrespecting people’s rights. This calls for legal arguments because it depends on who the media interviews.
Diokno is one of de Lima’s lawyers. He had filed on her behalf a writ of habeas data to test the presidential immunity of the President. This is over his sexual harassment and threats against the lady senator. Diokno is the son of the late nationalist and democracy icon, Sen. Jose “Ka Pepe” Diokno.” He was among the opposition leaders detained by the late president Ferdinand Marcos when he declared martial law in September 1972.
Who else is Going to Prison?
If the Palace panic results to the arrest of a political detainee, then who else is next? Should the president be affected still with the Davao Death squad accusations when it even made him win as president? Perhaps it’s time to dig deeper on where PDu30 is coming from. Perhaps it is necessary to think, act, and talk like a criminal to find the real culprits.
In a speech, the president indicates earlier that he plans to bring back the Philippine Constabulary after being dismayed by the PNP’s AIDG or the Anti-Illegal Drugs Group’s involvement in the killing and kidnapping for ransom of a Korean businessman, Jee Ick Joo. They are the law enforcement troops being feared for during Martial Law days – alleging that they strictly carry out Marcos’ orders in eliminating detractors. Vice President Leni Robredo is the first one to go against the plan as she expresses over an interview with GMA.

[VIDEO]: V.P. Leni Robredo is the first one to say no to the president’s plan of bringing back the Philippine Constabulary. (This is an extract of GMA’s 24 Oras report).
Leni Robredo Denies Being an Anti-Administration but Opposes Most of the President’s Plans
The president and the Vice President Leni Robredo met again for the first time after Robredo’s force resignation from the cabinet. This is during the Ledac or Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council meeting in Malacañang where it is described as civil and warmth encounter. The president throws the same joke again to Robredo about her legs but this time, the administration spokesperson, Ernesto Abella thinks that now the V.P. understands its context. Typical of her, to be quiet during the meeting but the next day, she goes on TV to announce her disapproval on an issue. It is about the return of the Philippine Constabulary this time which is still in the planning stage.
Philippine Constabulary is a more Disciplined Military Force
The PC is a service command of the military that is the forefront of the implementation of the Martial rule. It was abolished in 1999 through a law that created the Philippine National Police that is “civilian in nature. The President is certain that the PC is a more disciplined enforcement but Robredo, as expected, is saying no to anything related to the Marcoses. The electoral protest filed against her by Bongbong Marcos is already in the preliminary conference state.
Senator Leila De Lima who is also an anti-administration politician like Robredo urges the president not to use the army in his killing spree while executing his war on illegal drugs. The Oplan Tokhang campaign is already suspended and PNP chief Bato starts to punish all the police scalawags among his police forces.
Hon. Lito Atienza from the House of Representatives favors the Philippine Constabulary over the PNP. He said that the two-layer system of the PC helps in the check and balance of every military operation. This prevents them from becoming corrupt. Although, this does not mean that the PC takes over the PNP. It can perhaps replace the dissolved PNP-AIDG group but not the whole Philippine National Police.
