Atty. Glenn Chong’s Team is Out to Nail Senator Trillanes of Inciting to Sedition

welcome By:

Elena Grace Flores

Inciting to sedition, proposal to commit coup d’etat and graft raps charges are currently on the roll at the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office. This is allegedly for encouraging the military to kill the President. Complainants are lawyers Eligio Mallari, Glenn Chong, Nestor Ifurung, Jacinto Paras, Eduardo Bringas, Nasser Marohomsalic and businessman Louis Biraogo.

[VIDEO]: A team of lawyers including Atty. Glenn Chong, the clean election advocate has filed numerous cases against Senator Antonio Trillanes IV that include inciting to sedition. It is now in the Preliminary Conference stage.

Php 2 Billion Bank Account

The complaint stemmed from Trillanes’ October 3 privilege speech. He accused Du30 of having bank transactions of more than P2 billion from 2006 to 2015. Trillanes made no direct appeal for soldiers to kill the President. But the lawyers think that it’s enough to nail him when he said that troops would probably have to use their M-60 machine guns against the president because of the volume of evidence proving the latter’s ill-gotten wealth.

Unlawful Remarks for a Senator

The lawyers said Trillanes violated Section 3(e) of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act (Republic Act 3019) for “irresponsibly and recklessly and continuously accusing, sans evidence,” that the president is keeping over P2 billion in bank accounts and/or amassing illegally-acquired wealth. The complainants cited the statement of the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) last September denying that it provided the Office of the Ombudsman with documents and information related to its investigation on Duterte’s finances.

The Law is the Law

The first business of the Philippine government is the preservation of the State. As well as the promotion of the welfare of all the people. Senator Trillanes endangers the life of State and its people. He is responsible for all the probable and logical consequences of his acts. The Senator has caused the evil deed and therefore faces the consequences of his actions as per the law.

End of Trillanes’ Bullying?

Trillanes who vows to “work hard” in ousting Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III should the majority bloc keep Sen. Richard Gordon as Senate Blue Ribbon committee chair has weakened. The vocal administration critic said that the latter’s handling of the powerful committee, which undertakes high-profile legislative investigations, has affected the Senate’s independence. Gordon has given him disciplinary actions but that does stop him from disrespecting authorities. Thus, prompted the pro-administration group to act on his abusive statements.

Why Accuse Marcos Not Ramos for Martial Law Abuses if a President has No Liability Over Commander’s Lapse?

welcome By:

Elena Grace Flores

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV’s comments on Pnoy’s Mamasapano case seem like a double standard. Du30 even agrees with it. So, if a President has no liability over the Commander’s lapse, why blame the late Former President Ferdinand Marcos for Martial Law abuses and not ex-President Fidel Ramos who was the head of the Philippine Constabulary at that time? Worst, the rest of the Marcoses particularly Bongbong Marcos also inherited the stigma.

Pnoy Posted Bail

Former President Benigno Aquino III posted a P40,000 bail recently before the Sandiganbayan to secure his provisional liberty. This is while the charges over his alleged role in the ill-fated encounter in Mamasapano, Maguindanao, in 2015 is ongoing.

Family and Party Support

Aquino was joined by his sisters Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, Pinky Aquino-Abellada, and Viel Aquino-Dy. His legal counsel was also present when he arrived at the Sandiganbayan Third Division’s Office of the Clerk of Court. Liberal Party stalwarts Senators Bam Aquino and Franklin Drilon, and former presidential spokespersons Abigail Valte and Edwin Lacierda were also with him.

Arrest Warrant Not Necessary

Aquino posted bail just minutes after the Sandiganbayan found probable cause against him. Third Division clerk of court Atty. Dennis Pulma confirmed that the magistrates found sufficient basis to hold Aquino for trial for graft and usurpation of the official function. Pulma added that the division’s justices have signed an arrest warrant, but it was not issued since he already posted bail.

Liability in the Deadly Encounter

The Office of the Ombudsman has accused Aquino of influencing former Philippine National Police chief Alan Purisima. The latter was forced to defy his preventive suspension and the chain of command, during the operation in Mamasapano. At that time, the PNP was under acting chief Leonardo Espina. Purisima, according to the Ombudsman, gave instructions, received reports and recommendations, and approved the actions of PNP-Special Action Force (SAF) commander Gutulio Napeñas during the Mamasapano operation dubbed “Oplan Exodus.”

Church in Bad Light after Healing Rally with Notable Anti-Admin Politicians

welcome By:

Elena Grace Flores

Only about 600 people were present inside the church during the recent prayer rally. The Philippine National Police estimates that about 2,000 to 3,500 people joined the procession from the EDSA Shrine to the People Power Monument. Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said that the “Lord, Heal Our Land” event should not be taken as a threat to the administration. Present during the mass were Senators Bam Aquino and Antonio Trillanes IV and Magdalo party-list Rep. Gary Alejano. Former vice president Jejomar Binay who is an ally of the President joins the procession to the People Power Monument as a human rights lawyer. He is outnumbered by Senators Franklin Drilon, Rissa Hontiveros, Trillanes, and Aquino who are anti-administration politicians.

Maximum Presidential Tolerance

Roque stresses that President Du30 allows constructive dissent. Those who have grievances have space to protest. “The Church was very clear. It wasn’t political,” said Roque. However, this homily statement of Archbishop Socrates Villegas casts shadows over his non-political claim: “No politician lasts forever; only God does. Turn to the Lord and turn away from destructive politics. Peace to you all! We respect you. We call you Honorable. Be worthy of it,” he said.

Pray for Senseless Killings

The intention to pray for the end of the senseless violence is rightful and the government supports that. However, it is confusing to single out the administration’s drug war that allegedly results to extrajudicial killings. Homicide and murder cases are already part of the country’s history since time immemorial. Crimes of passion, road rages, and gang wars attribute to these unfortunate events.

The Dominance of Catholicism in the Country

The turnout of the event is quite low for a Catholic country. Therefore, doubts are expressed via social media if Catholicism is still a dominant religion in the country. Perhaps, Christianity is but the many factions including the INC, Born Again, Christadelphian, Protestants, Mormons, El Shaddai, and others made it more made the data complicated to determine.

Church Misunderstandings

The misunderstandings are understandable. The venue itself is already controversial. EDSA is known for the People Power Revolution against the late President Ferdinand Marcos. The presence of the LP members also contributes to the controversy. Most of all, false media claims and reports that exaggerate the number of attendees and the use of misleading images just did not help the situation. That put the Catholic Church in a bad light.

Bongbong Marcos: No One can Suppress Interactive Social Media

social media

welcome By:

Elena Grace Flores

Bongbong Marcos said that he and his family have been victims of “fake news.” This is contrary to their detractors’ accusations that they propagate their family’s woven myths. Social media allows common citizens to voice out. Marcos supports that saying that it is wrong to suppress the people’s voice through Facebook, Twitter, Google websites, and other online media.

Youtube Video by; Rappler

[VIDEO]: Former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr says his family has long suffered from fake news. He also believes it is readers’ responsibility to avoid blogs and posts they think are making false claims.

Power of Social Media

“There are lots of historical revisions occurring; we want to fix that. It’s not a version; it’s the truth,” Marcos explained. “Others want to put a spin on stories, make them into ‘fake news,” he added. The family maintains that the 21-year rule of the family’s patriarch, Ferdinand Marcos Sr., was the so-called “golden era.” Liberal Party influencers try to put clouds on that achievement. They question the economic data after the late Marcos’ rule and not during. The Yellows highlight alleged martial law abuses. However, golden-agers themselves cannot contain their lies anymore. That prompt them to squeal via social media. Such responses drive the anti-Marcos propaganda into thin air.

Contradicting Facts

Several international courts already acquit Former First Lady Imelda Marcos on the alleged ill-gotten wealth. Her husband was never on trial for such cases before. Philippine courts also ruled to pay so-called human rights victims during the Marcos regime. The funds are taken from the sequestered wealth of the Marcoses by the PCGG. Blames continue to pour into the Marcoses whenever such settlements are delayed. However, Bongbong Marcos said that it’s now between the government and the claimants.

Malicious Interpretations

LP media claim that to this day, a portion of the Philippines’s annual budget is being allocated to the foreign debt Marcos incurred during his leadership. In basic banking policy, a country cannot borrow from the World Bank if it has no sufficient gold reserves or collateral. The fact that the late President was able to borrow funds for the country’s infrastructures is a strong proof that he managed the financial aspect of the nation well. Perhaps, the Marcos enemies are in for a shocking enlightenment very soon about this wealth.

Faces of Fake News

Anti-administration stalwarts like VP Leni Robredo and Senator Antonio Trillanes IV grilled ASec Mocha Uson for using wrong images or captions in her blogs. She retaliates by reminding the VP on her UN speech in a video that maligns the country itself to the international community. The out of tune Senator was also a notable liar during the former VP’s Senate hearings on some corruption cases. His allegations just went quiet after the elections. They keep on calling bloggers trolls if they do not serve their interests. Little do they know that Facebook, Twitter, Google and other social media channels already did a clean-up drive on their platforms.

LP Members are the Masterminds of Black Media Propaganda, Not the Marcoses

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Judge Bonifacio Pascua’s denial of a $2 billion indemnity package awarded by a US federal court to alleged Filipino martial law victims is the latest and most significant assertion of Philippine sovereignty against the United States. The court points out that the alleged torture, summary execution and disappearance of the claimants cannot be joined into a class suit. It is because “no two persons can suffer the same nature and degree of injury and damage.” It is only during this administration that Filipinos are free from the US interference that was influenced by the LP’s black media propaganda against the Marcoses.

Youtube video from;

[VIDEO]: Sen. Risa Hontiveros distributes “Never Again” books to public senior high school students, reminding the youth not to repeat the mistakes committed during martial law.

Foreign Rules Have No Place in the Constitution

The most significant part of the recent court’s ruling is the final judgment of the Hawaii court that is “null and void, for want of jurisdiction,” and therefore “may not be enforced.” “Rules of comity should not be made to prevail over our Constitution. We cannot allow foreign impositions to trample upon our sovereignty,” the court said.

Aquino Stopped Marcos’ Truth

When the late Ferdinand Marcos was flown to Hawaii in 1986, revolutionary President Corazon C. Aquino barred the Marcoses’ return to the Philippines. She did not want them to answer charges against them for crimes they were accused of. Marcos died in Hawaii in 1989, and Imelda Marcos was finally allowed to come home in 1991. This was after winning her high profile case in New York.

Stateside Anti-Marcos Propaganda

The late Cory Aquino remained determined to let the US courts handle some human rights cases against Marcos. This was a clear abdication of Philippine sovereignty.  Cory Aquino was unprepared to run the affairs of a sovereign state. They then launched an anti-Marcos black propaganda that twisted public opinion heavily against Marcos. This went on not only in the country but also in the US. The US political leadership in 1986 even supported the ouster of Marcos behind his friend, former US President Rondal Reagan’s back.

The Undemocratic LPs Are Busted

BBC anchor Stephen Sackur of HardTalk grilled a Liberal at heart Senator Antonio Trillanes IV. Here, Sackur disclosed that Trillanes is actually not for democracy because he does not respect the will of the people. This goes the same with Rep. Rudy Farinas who just transferred to the President’s PDP-Laban Party but still displayed the nature of a yellow stalwart with his dealings with the Ilocos 6 to discredit Gov. Imee Marcos. Another LP Senator Riza Hontiveros also distributes Marcos Never Again Books to students to brainwash them. However, the books are nothing compared to the outrage via social media who are mostly from pro-Marcos supporters. They call them Trolls but they just cannot accept the fact that the truth finally sets the Marcoses free. Most people are even looking forward to another regime of a Ferdinand Marcos or Bongbong Marcos for that matter.
