Treatments for Ringworm with no Prescription

There are different kinds of Ringworm as they are cause by different types of fungus – but it is definitely a skin infection. Many ringworm infections can be treated with antifungal applications that do not need prescription. Topical antifungal drugs such as clotrimazole or the one with brand name Lotrimin AF® cream, miconazole or Micatin®, and tolnaftate or Tinactin® are proven to be effective ringworm remedies.

You can get over-the-counter antifungal products in a variety of forms, such as cream, lotion, powder, and spray. Cream and lotion antifungal products are preferred for ringworm infections on the body. Powder and spray products are more suitable for athlete’s foot.
