Both Robredo and Marcos Camps earlier acknowledged that the ballot decryption and printing processes began last October 23. It is reported to take 7 months. Therefore, the completion date is expected in May 2018. The Comelec started the process after getting the green light from the Supreme Court. The SC acts as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal or PET. It sounds like a long time but since no recount date is known yet, the timeline helps pacify the fed-up Marcos loyalist. As this is ongoing, Bongbong Marcos hangs out with avid Du30 bloggers which is an indication of the Du30-Marcos understanding for the sake of unity.

Dinner with Pro-Duterte Bloggers
The pro-Du30 bloggers dine with Bongbong Marcos recently. Media practitioners present include the Motherland blogger, Sass Rogando Sasot. She presents the former Senator in the video. The electoral protest, impeachment cases, the RevGov issue, and more are the topics of the discussions. Jobe Nkemakolam, Asec Mocha Uson, and Mike Acebedo Lopez are in the picture. RJ Nieto of Thinking Pinoy also joins in.
Hanging Out with the Likely VP
Marcos poses with the Du30 bloggers’ group. This shows their approval to the likely VP. Marcos challenges the legitimacy of Leni Robredo in the second highest office in the land. His wife, Atty. Liza Araneta-Marcos also graces the get-together as per the picture.
Both camps await the SC to rule on the recount’s official start date. In the meantime, the decryption and printing of ballot images are set to be done in May next year. This might help to speed up the recounting processes. Manual and digital data comparison comes handy if the data are readable by a layman.
Unity on the Preference
Marcos is said to be the preferred VP of the President. Most Du30 supporters voted for now DFA Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano during the 2016 elections because he was the running mate of Du30. However, they understand that according to the Constitution, it’s only Marcos who can challenge Robredo given the circumstances of the electoral protest. This is quite a big progress towards unity regardless of political affiliations.
